“WHAT STARTED YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY?”
My spiritual awakening began my senior year of Highschool, in 2015.
I was in a very dark place at the time—Between struggling to find loyal friendships and discovering the depths of my consciousness in a sea of ego-driven teens, my mental loneliness drove me to spend some time soul searching.
That is when I found Yoga & Meditation. After one day of exploring these outlets, I went to bed and fell into a deep sleep.
Later, I would realize that opening up the energy centers of my body and relaxing into a state of stillness after the activity would lead me into my first mystical experience
—And it did—
The next morning, I was immersed in the astral realm and saw my very first apparition (spirit).
Thankfully, I was unafraid and able to digest the experience with an open-mind.
I imagine this is because I grew up around women who would constantly remind me — my grandmother most of all — that there is a higher power that is always looking out for us and protecting us from harm.
She granny called that higher power Gahd, I learned him later be Allah.
With a mind to trained to never underestimate the power of — or disbelieve in the existence of — angels, life beyond death, and a higher power of love, I was able to soften into my first transcendental experience with neutral awareness.
At that time I realized that subconsciously remembering the love of God and trusting that I was safe allowed me to see the heavenly light that glowed around everything with neutral eyes, helping me to be a present with my astral experience.
It didn’t take much time later for my mind to develop clairvoyance and perform ‘supernatural’ abilities such as later-confirmed premonitions..
Mindful to not underestimate the powers I’d been informed of from a young age, I began to accept the Gahd-given abilities, to trust more in his love the spirit realm, to ask for protection and blessings, and thank him for every gift granted.
Then, the answers to my prayers began to come in high, accelerated rates and more synchronistic times for what I was experiencing at the time.
That day completely changed my perception of life and what I considered to be ‘real” in this world.
Craving a scientific explanation for what I was experiencing — I became glued to the library from high school throughout college — taking a deep dive into any and all educational books I could find on quantum physics, the energetics of anatomy, and the affects of meditation on the psychology of the mind.
I even spent years studying, practicing and becoming certified as a Yoga Instructor and Reiki Master to honor what first triggered my spiritual awakening: the healing of movement and meditation.
I gained a deeper respect for the power of the mind after my subjective experiences and later found one of my favorite books to be “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenza as it provided more of a biological, scientific explanation for my mystical experiences.
